1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Aron, an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) application developed and operated by Elix ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, registering for, or using Aron, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.
2. Intended Use and Eligibility
Aron is an assistive communication tool designed to support individuals, particularly children, with communication challenges. Account creation, profile management, and configuration of the app are strictly restricted to adults (parents, legal guardians, or authorized clinical professionals). By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and are fully responsible for the minor's use of the application under your supervision.
3. Medical and Therapeutic Disclaimer
Aron is not a certified medical device. The application is provided strictly as an assistive communication software tool. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, cognitive delay, or speech disorder. The use of Aron does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or therapy provided by a qualified speech-language pathologist or medical professional. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or treatment plan.
4. User Content and Conduct
Aron allows the account holder to upload custom images, create button labels, and organize communication categories ("User Content").
- Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all User Content you upload or create. You warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use any uploaded images or photographs, especially those depicting individuals.
- Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to upload content that is illegal, abusive, sexually explicit, highly offensive, or infringes upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party. We reserve the right to delete any User Content or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding the password and login credentials you use to access Aron. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Elix cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Aron application, including but not limited to its software code, design, default icons, and text-to-speech integrations, are owned by Elix. You retain all ownership rights to the custom User Content you upload to your personal profile.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elix and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the application. Because Aron relies on cloud synchronization and third-party infrastructure (such as Google Firebase), we do not guarantee that the service will be entirely free of interruptions, downtime, or data loss.
8. Modifications to the App and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue Aron (or any part thereof) at any time. We may also revise these Terms and Conditions occasionally. By continuing to access or use the application after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
