1. Information We Collect

To provide high-performance Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services, Aron collects the following data points from the adult account holder during registration and app usage:

• Identity Data: Legal first name, last name, and birth date (optional).
• Contact Data: Verified email address, physical address (optional), and phone number (optional).
• Media Data: Profile photographs and custom images uploaded for communication buttons.
• Preference Data: Text-to-Speech (TTS) gender selection (e.g., Male or Female).
• Communication Data: Custom button labels, phrase suggestions, and category groupings.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

Your data is processed to ensure communication continuity and high-efficiency functionality:

• Account Management: Authentication via email/password or Google Sign-In.
• Cloud Synchronization: Storing custom communication buttons and media in Firebase Cloud Firestore and Storage to ensure your vocabulary is accessible across devices.
• Personalization: Using your TTS gender preference to deliver a consistent voice interface.
• Local Experience: Syncing data to your device's local storage for offline use.

3. Third-Party Services

Aron utilizes the following Google-managed infrastructure to protect and store your data:

• Firebase Authentication: To secure your account and manage verified sessions.
• Cloud Firestore: A real-time database where your user profile and custom button configurations are stored.
• Firebase Storage: A secure repository for your profile and button images.
• Google Sign-In: An optional OAuth service for simplified account creation.

4. Children's Privacy

Aron is an AAC tool designed to be used by children with communication challenges under adult supervision. Account creation, profile management, and data configuration are strictly restricted to parents, legal guardians, or authorized clinical professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information directly from minors. All profile data, including names and addresses, is provided and managed exclusively by the adult account holder and remains protected within our secure cloud environment. We do not sell or monetize any user-generated communication data.

5. Data Retention, Security & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active to provide uninterrupted service. You may update your profile fields (including name, address, and gender) at any time through the Profile or Registration interfaces. We implement industry-standard encryption through Firebase to protect your identity and media.

Data Deletion: You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. You can permanently delete your account and its data directly within the app via the Profile settings. Alternatively, you may request account and data deletion by contacting us at contact@elix.digital. Upon account deletion, all personal data, custom buttons, and uploaded media are permanently removed from our active servers.
